The motivation for doing this work is described in the Compare Laughing Clowns Page, with the addition of the two people, seen at the Royal Adelaide Show, dressed as clowns. The coastline is at Goolwa.
This is a strongly compositional, directional piece with all the detail crammed up into the top left-hand corner, all the elements directing the eye to the left, held back by the light diagonal shapes in the top right-hand corner and balanced by vacant space and the ominous arm.
**There are more notes on the arm on the Compare Use of Arm Page.
