Goolwa Road

Proceeds of Sale

Driving into Goolwa, I saw these 3 Stobie poles lined up just like that, plus the row of trees in a paddock alongside, so I put it all together, for the first time mixing sand into the paint for the roadside.

The number 42 on the white post is, as is generally known (via Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy), the meaning of life.

I used the trees again in the first Carousel and also in Fence and Fairground. They are very typical of the windswept  South Australian coastal treelines. Bleak.

** There are more notes on the ripped canvas on the Compare Use of Ripped Canvas Page.
